› Steve Deace: “I will vote for Funk on Tuesday”

In a blog post today, Steve Deace announced he will “vote for Funk on Tuesday.” We want to express our gratitude to Steve for allowing us to frequent his radio show and participate in the candidate series he put together. This is meaningful because Steve, like most of our supporters, has taken a thorough look at the field to determine who he will vote for based on policy and principle.

Steve took the field and did an analysis based on a subjective and objective view of each candidate in the race. This was based on how closely a candidate understood and applied the word of God, the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

After vetting each of us he clearly came to the Funk camp and has decided to “vote for Funk on Tuesday.”  You can read Steve’s blog post here.

Having spoken with many of you that will be voting tomorrow I know you’ve gone through a very similar process. I’m grateful for your continued support as well and anxiously wait for our chance to unseat Leonard Boswell by voting Dave Funk as the Republican nominee.

From Steve’s blog:

“This has been a tough race for me because the overall quality of the candidates is pretty high, and I also knew two of the candidates before they got into the race. In a perfect world we’d merge what I like best about Gibbons and Zaun and go destroy Leonard Boswell this fall, because their worldviews are close enough to Funk’s but they each have intangibles I like and would vote for either if they win the nomination, but we don’t live in a perfect world. Therefore, I will vote for Funk on Tuesday because he has most consistently applied my worldview this campaign while also showing he doesn’t shy away from a fight.”
