I recall flying to the Philippines about three years ago. I had gel deodorant, hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol all of which were larger than 3oz. I didn't do this on purpose, just forgot. They didn't even notice. Same thing happened on my return flight. These useless policies are mere shenanigans. Thanks for your huge contribution, we need some real action.

The scenario we saw unfold on Christmas Day is not new. Ramzi Yousef bombed Philippine Airlines #434 on Christmas of 1994. Nothing has been done since '94 to correct this problem. The TSA came out with the liquid rules, however, they are nothing but theater because all a person has to do is carry the explosives in a pocket or pocket. There is nothing at checkpoints, anyplace in the world, that solves this problem at the screening checkpoint.
