› Dave Funk Comments on Pres. Obama’s Pick for SCOTUS

President Barack Obama has proven time and time again that he is more concerned with selecting those that will do nothing but promote his liberal and socialist agenda. The selection of Kagan for Supreme Court is likely to be no different. For this very reason Senate Republicans need to be very thorough in vetting Ms. Kagan’s past. Especially concerning her past statements that the Supreme Court’s primary role is to support “the despised and disadvantaged.”

With the 5-4 split decision in District of Columbia versus Heller in 2008 we realized that almost half of the Supreme Court justices don’t understand that their role is to uphold the Constitution – not pander to government officials and support the despised and disadvantaged.  The Supreme Court was created for the purpose of enforcing the Constitution of the United States of America.  Ms. Kagan’s experience and history offer’s no signals of devotion and understanding to the Constitution and it’s important she provide evidence to the contrary or Senate Republicans should stand against her nomination.
